Ainsdale resident Noreen Fessey issues warning on Facebook regarding indecent exposure on Mossgiel Ave and Kenilworth Road area after a man allegedly exposed himself in front of her daughter .

I want to make all Ainsdale residents aware, particularly anyone with children, that there is a man, I believe, living in the sand dunes next to the black pedestrian hill that runs from Kenilworth Rd and Mossgiel Ave.

Yesterday my 11 year old daughter and her friend walked to the train station at 7:50am (without her brother) as they walked down the black hill a man “appeared” just off the path on the right hand side, where the path bends, with his erect penis sticking out of his trousers. He didn’t touch, interact or look at the girls he stood perfectly still looking up the hill towards Kenilworth Rd.

I believe he was watching incase anybody came down. Both girls were extremely scared and ran as fast as they could down Mosgiel towards the train. They called me to tell me - I was not very happy!

I checked they were okay then got in the car and drove to the top of the hill and walked down with my phone to try to catch this disgusting pervert with the hope that the police could then arrest him. As I walked down the hill a man was walking towards me - i did think “I’ve not seen you before” and “why are you walking towards the residential area if you’re not local?” but as I was looking for a man with his penis out i didn’t take his photograph. It was as I got close enough to him I realised - he seemed nervous and said “hi” but there was something not right with him.

As I walked past I got a smell of an unwashed body this made me turn around and I seen a sleeping bag on his back. He then proceeded to walk into the sandhills, to the right as you walk up the hill, that back onto the houses on Mosgiel Road. I truly believe this i the man that felt it was okay to force the sight of his erect penis onto two 11 year old girls for his own sexual gratification and scare them witless.

I ran back up to Kenilworth Rd to try to take his photo but he was too far into the dunes and I was shaking so I failed. As the day progressed and I spoke with friends I was told that there are people sleeping rough in those dunes and that there is a collapsed tent at the bottom of the hill. So last night my husband and I walked the dog that way, in the dark.

As we came down the very dimly lit black hill we couldn’t see anything so I used the flashlight on my phone to help us see, still nothing. My husband than said, “turn it off!” and when we looked closely on the left hand side of the path, along side the garden wall of the first property, we could just make out a small light, possibly from a mobile phone.

This is almost directly opposite where he exposed himself. In our opinion he is “living” there. I believe he sits in this spot as he has a good view up the hill and when he sees young girls on their own he simply walks across the path and gains his sexual gratification whilst watching up the hill to see if anybody is coming.

I am sure he was sat there and seen me storming down the hill and thought, “Oh no, this must be the mother” at which point he stood up and walked past me to escape.

If I seen this man again I would know him instantly.
He is around 5ft 10, pasty white, slim build, dark short hair, around 30yrs, dark clothing.
I have informed the police and I am hopeful, but not convinced, that they will catch him. I wanted to share this information with the residence of Ainsdale as I am disgusted that we have perverts living in our sand dunes taking away the innocence of our children.

I personally would never have thought that someone would be living rough there waiting for our children to pass until I seen this man yesterday and it all fell into place. I would also like to add that THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME, on 14/10/16 same place and man fitting the same description was seen by a child, not mine, with his trousers round his ankles.

If anyone else has experienced similar incident please call the police on 101 as this must be stopped!!!

I would also like to see the £198 per month we pay in council tax being used to make the areas safer with better lighting possibly CCTV in these “danger zones” but for now my concern is catching this person so that no other child has to witness what my daughter and her friend did yesterday!

Make your mind up; if possible.
