The Ainsdale Civic Society event was a huge success with hundreds of residents coming together to see Miss Southport, Chloe Brown do the countdown to the switch on of the Village Christmas Tree Lights and enjoy all the fun and it was a lot drier than last year!
Father Christmas was there giving presents to the children, almost 300 gifts were given out and the joy on the children’s faces was wonderful to see.
They were entertained by the fabulous Liverpool musician Michael Moon who sang lots of Christmas Songs and some other old favourites as well. The Richard Hart Singers were in fine voice singing Christmas Carols and the Salvation Army Band joined in with some great Christmas music.
Lots of the traders joined in the fun with plenty of food and drink available and of course the Village Church was open to serve refreshments too. All in all a great time.
