All roads led to Lydiate earlier this month to celebrate 11 amazing years of the Lydiate Classic Car Show.
In glorious summer weather, vehicles of all makes, shapes and sizes took to the Parish Hall grounds for the fundraiser.
Visitors got up close to more than 350 classic cars, bikes and scooters; charity stalls were also set up inside the Parish Hall, along with a tombola, cake stall and café, all of which raised vital income for North West Cancer Research - and with over 1000 visitors, it raised an impressive £3400.
Shirley Brown, organiser of the show, told QLocal: “The event was brilliant, everything went just to plan and as we have surpassed ten years now, it’s definitely a staple in everyone’s calendar – it gets bigger every year!”
Raising money for cancer research is a cause close to Shirley’s heart, as she added: “It’s a great day out for locals as well as raising much needed funds for NWCR. I lost my husband and two sisters to cancer, as well as my nephew.
"Every penny raised at this event will go toward important cancer research in the North West.”
