Merseyside Police have detained 30 people on day three of Operation Hunted – bringing the total number of outstanding offenders detained to 146.

Merseyside Police is putting the pressure on most wanted individuals during three weeks of action.

‘Operation Hunted’, which launched on Monday is aimed at reducing the number of outstanding named offenders on Merseyside wanted for various offences, including those who may have been involved in serious crimes, are linked evidentially to live investigations, or have breached the terms of their release from prison.

Local policing teams will be taking to their local Twitter accounts using the hashtag #OpHunted to update communities on any arrests as well as encouraging the public to come forward with information.

The operation will involve local police officers and PCSOs, detectives, Roads Policing units, specialist search teams, the Cannabis Dismantling Team, and Matrix officers.
