public open space going
i understand that sefton are now going to lease out russell rd playing fields
another public open space that could disappear for the public to use.
As a kid i used to play in kew woods and sometimes go fishing there now the lake is used for a private club only .i enjoyed walking through victoria park now its the home to southport flower show and other events which means i cant walk through the park anymore without paying to get in.
How many more public open spaces are going to be leased out denying the public rights to what used to be their right to free open space.
Is botanic gardens or hesketh park next.
is it right that people should make money out of public open spaces .

It will still be open to the public but it allows Phoenix to improve the facilities and provide activities for the community.
I'm pretty sure you only pay to go in Victoria Park when there's an event on. On the days its open to the public its virtually deserted anyway so the more events that bring people into the town the better.
