I suppose it has been lost now that we only have 1 whole time appliance with N7.2 and the CPL being 'retained'. Let's hope that the Maurice Evans plaque has found its way into a fire service museum. Does anyone know if this is the case?
I remember the fire engine with Maurices name on, not sure where the plaque is but I will try & find out & let you know 😁

Don't know how to add another post link but if you search for '60th Anniversary of Fire-fighter Maurice Evans' it comes up with the post about the memorial service & about Maurice

It's possible that the Maurice Evans plaque could be here at the Fire Museum

Thank you. I would hate to think that it got lost or was thrown out. I hope it is in the museum somewhere.

Tilly, that's lovely that you didn't forget such a brave man.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Thanks shippy, it saddens me that we are the only ones that bother, wouldn't be hard for the fire service to put a tribute there once a year but maybe I'm expecting too much!!

30.11.19 Maurice Evan's has been forgotten
Lisa & I went to put grave pots on Maurice's grave today as it was the only time before Christmas we could get to Southport, I was really upset to see Maurice's grave today, looked forgotten, unloved & uncared for. As I don't drive and can't get over to Southport very often I did hope someone would pop by and help look after it, how wrong am I, I'm so sorry i feel like i have let you down Maurice and I'm really sorry ??

That must have been so upsetting for you Tilly, but you haven’t let anyone down. Your dedication over the years has been done with love and devotion... Bless you
Hugs Shippy
