Apart from that - there are people who will house sit and feed your animals for you, while you are away. Do you have any retired neighbours who would help you out?

Both my previous dog and the one we have now go to Formby Boarding Kennels just off Formby bypass - they have a cattery too. You can find them on fb. We've never had any problems there but haven't used the cattery side.
