Our green bins should have been emptied on 28th May, Bank holiday Monday. They didn't empty them. Thought OK they will come next week. No.. Rang up Monday 4th June told I should have informed them they didn't come on the 28th, and they will empty them soon.

Why put a recycling date out that is a Bank Holiday. When the council know they are not going to empty on that date?

Is it really that important?

Maybe not a matter of life or death but nevertheless annoying if the bin is full with more waiting to go in when it has been emptied. Let’s face it, the weeds are growing like there is no tomorrow and any shrubs may well need cutting back too.
At this time of year particularly, 3 weeks till the next green bin collection is a long time and you can accumulate an awful lot of clippings by then!
