    Will he won't he?

President Trump set to announce Iran decision ahead of schedule.

Meanwhile Hezbollah rears its ugly head in Lebanon.

He won't. Regime change is on his agenda. Have you ever listened to his new National Security Adviser, John Bolton? Scary.

Do politicians, all politicians, regardless of party, ever learn? I'm sick to death of angry old white men South of the border. There really should be a mandatory retirement age for politicians, Presidents included. Dinosaurs, the lot of them.

I have a strong feeling he will sign, but with many additional clauses...

Maybe it’s better to have one foot in the door, as one would say.

John Bolton's been going on about regime change for many years. However Mango Mussolini ran for President on the promise he'd withdraw from Middle Eastern countries. His core base will be glad if he doesn't waive the sanctions, but they'll be far from happy if he plans to put boots on the ground in Iran.

I don't see how he can change the Regime
Ask the Shah of Iran how the US, and Britain, did it in 1953... setting the tone for the future relationship with Iran. And you wonder why they hate us?

Doesn't anyone read history any more? And if they do, can't countries who oust democratically elected leaders and replace them with puppets who will govern as they dictate. acknowledge the shame and blame for what inevitably transpires?

I still do not believe that man with that reputation will change a regime.
He looks like a career worker upper.

If 'they' hate us it is because they cannot control 'us' with religion and intimidation.

It would be easy to say no Western intervention ever again.
Though I recall desperate pleas from people asking 'where is the West in our suffering'.

USA is out of the Iran deal.

Luckily all houses and new flats in Israel since 1951 have to be built with access to air raid shelters.

Trump and his bellicose pals are dangerous pillocks.
I wonder why humankind equate arrogance with leadership despite what history tells us. Man is the stupidest of animals.

And Trump is the stupidest of Man.

I notice the congrats have come thick and fast from the Israelis and Saudis. A coalition to push the Doomsday Clock a little closer to midnight. One trigger happy and permanently under a state of siege, one with one of the most appalling human rights records going. And Donald Trump. A man whom even Boris Johnson has to appease like an angry toddler, broadcasting soothing words on Fox News about the idiot getting a 'Nobel Peace Prize'.

Not now, pal. When your troops are coming home in body bags and grieving families are handed folded flags and empty thanks, no prizes will be handed out. But you'll take another step to dismantling Obama's legacy, so two YUGE thumbs up.

    From your original link;-

.... he number of Hezbollah MPs was little changed at around 13.

...... Mr Hariri said his party had ended up with 21 seats, down from 33 nine years ago.

Sounds more like a decline in power to me , a bit like the Lib Dems victory in losing 5 seats.

Lebanon'S voting system is different to the UK.

Under the provisions of the 1989 Taif Accord, which paved the way for the end of Lebanon's civil war in 1990, parliamentary seats are allocated on a 50:50 basis between Muslims and Christians.
The seats are then further divided between all of Lebanon's 18 officially recognised religious sects.

Hezbollah and its political allies are the biggest winners in Lebanon's first general election in nine years, an analysis of the preliminary results show.

Hezbollah and Amal - dubbed the "Shia duo" by local news media - are predicted to have won 29 seats in Lebanon's 128-seat parliament during Sunday's vote, according to unofficial tallies cited by politicians and local media reports.

More than 11 seats are predicted to have been won by other political parties aligned with the duo.
    ......................
Explaining that a two-thirds quorum vote is required in crucial matters, such as amending the constitution or electing a president, Feghali said: "Because they have more than a third [of parliament], they can block the quorum."

In typical legislative sessions, only a simple majority of 65 members is required to vote, something Hezbollah, Amal and allies can obtain by renewing their alliance with President Michel Aoun's Free Patriotic Movement (FPM).
    ....................Alliances of convenience

Hypothetically, a continued alliance with FPM, which reportedly won 17 seats in Sunday's elections, could give Hezbollah and Amal "an absolute majority in parliament", Feghali said.

The President of the US has limited powers. He can issue policies on running the US, but practically everything else has to pass by Congress, satisfy the Supreme Court and appease the Democrats.

The USA has on previous occasions tried to put down Iran, and has failed. If they were to attempt to do so now - it would lead to WW3. Iran is not an Arab nation but if the Arab nations were to choose between the US and Iran -they would support Iran. The USA is no longer popular Worldwide and most certainly not in the Gulf states.
Personally, I would back the Arabs. The USA has no right to tell any other country how to run their own affairs, and it was the USA that inflamed the terrorist threats.

Can you blame the Israelis for feeling happy with Trumps declaration?
Look where their little sliver of a country is situated.

    They are fighting for survival.
