    Wellington eastbank st

This is the third time I had tried to put this thread on here.I was in the wellington on east bank st at 6.30m a couple of women came in with a child aged approx 5 years and were served when there is a sign saying no children allowed . There where two community police persons in the bar area. Nothing done.

    What were they thinking!?

Exposing a small child to Drunks and foul language.

    Drastic measures are called for.

A damn good flogging twice a day will impress upon them the importance of knowing what the rules are.

Let's hope they see the error of their ways before it is too late.
Orwell said "If there is hope, it lies in the proles." Whilst champagne socialists see diversity idealised at university, the common folk experience it first hand in their neighbour hoods.

In your post in the 'flower show' thread you say the PCSO's didn't notice the child.

"Went to Wellington on EastBank st. two ladies came in with child about 5years, served at bar , two communities policemen came in , didn't notice .I do not want children in pubs.
I don't know what you think"

In this post you suggest they did nothing, if they didn't notice how can they do anything, if you felt so strongly did you report it to the PCSO's?

So long as children are behaving themselves then I have no issue with children in pubs.

Do you think the over stretched police budget is best spent enforcing the rules of pubs?

If there is a sign saying no children then it is up to the Landord to enforce his rule.

I don,t know how long you stayed but later on relations of the landlady came in with lots of children. The little boy in question was no trouble at all and when asked to move away from the bar he did. The sign is a leftover from when the last licencee ran the pub strictly by the book.

Did you mention it to the licensee while you were there?
Did you mention it to the community police persons while you were there?
Or did you just wait to have a moan about it on here?
What do you expect the qlocal readership do about it?

I am not sure that private notices take priority over the law - the law states that children are allowed on licensed premises if accompanied by adults.

When the two police came in the licencee was talking to them, why not voice your concerns then instead of hiding behind a keyboard.

Yes perhaps giving the Wellington a miss is advisable.

Was in there a couple of hours ago. Two underage kids about 5 and 10-y-o in the place being very well behaved and so no problem.
    Landlady's discretion wisely applied imho.
Don't go to bed angry. Stay up and plot your revenge.
