I don't think it is 'SKWARKBOX'. Maybe you've looked at the wrong site? Or perhaps the Daily Shoehorn or Whatabout Weekly might suit?
I thought it quite ironic that you speculated on speculation of a far right takeover of PM.

You are not much fun if you only get your associations and not mine.
I mean what has Trump got to do with Boris (who does not want to ban the Burqa?)

You posted a link to Skwarkbox.

"Classical scholars turn backs on Boris Johnson over burqa comments.

A number of trustees and patrons are understood to have contacted the organisation expressing concern at Johnson’s involvement, given the charity’s efforts to promote classical studies in state schools in cities such as Birmingham, where there is a significantly higher Muslim population than the rest of the UK.

This week, however, Johnson’s profile page as an honorary patron was removed from the organisation’s website as the board of trustees considered the criticism of Johnson’s involvement.

    Ridiculous!
Boris supports the right to wear the Burqa.

That aspect does not bother me personally.

The measures of integration you mention would require abandoning
the very religious beliefs that set the devout apart.

They cut such sad figures but then look at all the religiously devoted people integrated into our society of other religiously affiliated people
    quite happily.
That alone should keep the number of Niqab wearers down.
Why on earth did these people not consider that Islam conflicts with British religions and ideals before they moved over here? Is greed that blind?

Johnson worded his article meticulously. The idea he's a bumbling jocular type that cares little about his appearance is nonsense. It's a carefully cultivated persona. His politics swing from right to centre as the situation benefits him (eg to become Mayor of London). He'll have been all too aware of the reaction of the general public. As I said in my first post, I found parts of his speech to agree with. His current incarnation is 'man of the people'. Again, backed by Steve Bannon, which I find concerning. The far right have found a useful tool in Johnson, who in turn will crawl into bed with anyone that will further his ambition to reach Number 10.

Following that link, there is a perfect example of how Johnson's remarks embolden the bigoted and stupid. Christine Hamilton's comparison of the burqa to a KKK mask is jaw-dropping.

I have a different view of BJ's character.

If he wanted to be PM he could have had abetter shot at the goal.
I do not believe he wants the job-his place in history is already a legendary.

Neither does Boris need the income the contacts the second home in the country.
Most of all he does not need the hassle of a full time and some job tailed by security 24/7 or frankly a team of political equals.

Letting people know he could do the job of PM better than or replace the incumbent is fair play and understandable given he is a Brexiteer.

I would hazard a guess that Christine Hamilton votes for her husband's party UKIP.

I believe he desperately wants the job but not yet, when things are as bad as can be and the only way is up then Boris wants to be the Saviour.
