Vicarage Lane near Ormskirk parking problems

Doing a delivery to a house on this road.
I had to weave in and out of cars to get along the lane I'm out in the countryside wondering where the hell are these cars have come from it was not till after I did the delivery I realised there were all the students cars from Edge Hill University Ormskirk. It must be a nightmare for the local residents

Car Parking at Edge Hill is a nightmare. The university has out grown its car parks.

You need to arrive on site before 08.00 in a morning to have a chance of getting a car park space

With parking permits only being issued to students from outside the local area (10miles?), there will be an incentive for lazy types to cheat....Perhaps by using a friends/relatives address on application form.

Single-occupant cars journeys are bad news for the environment/cause unnecessary congestion - Does the Uni not run and actively promote a car-share scheme?

I like to nip over and use Ruff wood at times .... looks like thats off the cards now ...

and that silver car at the corner ... the driver was on his mobile ? !!!

They where getting booked on the main road up to skem. When I went past the other day. Dozens of them.
