    Time for female snooker teams

Been asking for years but stupid sexist attitudes
and I think fear has been prevalent in many clubs.
It's time for you girls to go play snooker and even
beat us males . I played pool in Zetty some 20 years
back and was on table 9 games then a lovely 20 ish lady
put her money in slot and stuffed me . So let's have ladies teams
Snooker or pool and play against each other, also deal with the pervs and sad
    men amongst us .

it would be logical to have mixed teams, darts is another sport that could have mixed sports. diving is another.

    ice skating has mixed teams.

when I coached football in the USA, Newcastle England sent a team of 13 year old boys over to play against our team 13 year old girls. My daughter was a winger. The boys lost 4-1 We were State Champions and went on to win the All American Final.

Attitudes are changing in snooker, the ladies world champion played in the WPBSA World Championship qualifiers this year.
I think she possibly got to round three, a win in round fourwould have got her to the crucible I think.

Why would they want to spend their leisure time amongst pervs and sad men though?

Ha! My sister would play snooker during her lunch break to make a young lad- a new employee and who was rather lost in such a large organisation, feel more comfortable.

She was frowned upon by the other employees for doing so! It was while she was employed in the Public Services Sector!

Do you have to be a sad perv these days to play snooker?
Weather forecast for tonight: Dark. Continued dark overnight, with widely scattered light by morning.

Thirty years ago I played in the Southport & District pool league for the Kingsway when it had a downstairs bar - pre the Berlin bar - with several pool tables. I think there were only three women in the league then, me, my friend and a lady who played for the Up-Steps when Lee Jack's mum was the landlady.
The attitudes are still the same now then, women can't just walk into a pub, order a beer and sit and watch the world go by not can we go into a snooker hall, put our money down and play without being frowned upon or asked if we're waiting for someone or hoping to be chatted up by some perv or sad bloke.
You want ladies teams then change attitudes.

The 2nd part, come to Les Dodds snooker centre for a game where you will be made most welcome as lots of other females are. I was also in the Zetland last night and there team had a lady in it, no pervs or sad men to be seen.
Ausard2 may be a sad perv but we cant all be tarred with the same brush.

Doesn't need a female snooker team. Just a snooker team. There are no advantages/disadvantage linked with gender in snooker, so why can't they all play as equals. Same goes for darts.

I don't know about snooker, but there are lots of women who play pool nowadays. There are still a few dinosaurs around that seem to sneer, until they get their a*$e$ handed to them.
