The next ITV mis-selling scandal.
Yes you can win £50,000 of tax free cash, a top of the range car, loads of gadgets and a fabulous holiday. All you have to do is spend £2 on a text to an ITV number. But ITV give you no idea of what your chances are of winning and they can cut these chances simply by extending the life of the competition including running it over more programmes. It simply is n't right that you don't know whether you've got a one in 100,000 chance or a one in 1,000,000 chance of winning, the more the punter simply stumps up his stake totally blind. At least if you 're betting on the horses then you know the odds and you can assess the form. If you bet on the lottery theres a formula which sets the level of return to the punters, the payments to worthy causes and the profit for the operator. Expect a backlash in due course when the public wake up to this exploitation.

Television companies are constantly exploiting their viewers - what with the promotion of PC distributed through the soaps, pre-arranged competition winners, previously arranged quiz results, brainwashing young children etc.,etc., Gave up watching it about fifteen years ago - I can watch all the films I want on the computer..........without adverts!
