All big clubs are mocked on social media. The lesser suburban ones rarely get a mention.

, very droll mate , but seriously I was listening to talk sport today and they did an item on the subject by interviewing a specialist in head trauma and apparently concussion can be detected weeks after the initial trauma along with any after effects , but I'm no expert so I reserve judgment on the subject .

At least the incident has prompted moves to treat all knocks to the head, more seriously, as they do in both rugby codes. Closing my door on the whole episode and, looking forward to next season, the best I can say is, at least nobody was trying to kill anyone..........this time.

Deliberate acts of violence mate, that's the issue. The Mane incident was hardly one of those. Reputations held by players like Ramos, Ferguson, Souness and Roy Keane etc. etc. will always follow them around. A pity really because these guys are, or were, such good players.
