Yes, and there are lots of jesters in town. I am surprised that it was not just called The Jester since most pubs are referred to by shortened names - The Volly, The Welly etc., The good news is that this place is now a Free House.

The modern version of a jester is a 'clown' and there are many sports people who would fit this description.

Out of curiosity I popped in for a few last night, it is looking very nice, the landlord has obviously invested a lot of money in the place, good luck to the man.

Maybe better if it stayed closed ,I drank there but the amount of
people coming in and just using toilets.
I'm drinking elsewhere now along with other regulars, closing for about 2 weeks we were told.
Then there's them that can and there's professional.
