It is so human in the expressions and theme of one parent managing the 'day'.
The story allows imagination on a 2nd parent.
My take is that 'mum' is alive and working long unsocial hours in the nhs law or school system.

Annoying is just getting back into a programme after a Commercial Break when another Commercial Break starts. I HATE Commercial Television.

None of my family suffer those frustrations of television! The over correctness of programmes, the regular swearing, poor language used, over simplification of subject matter aimed at the lesser knowledgeable, veiled political biassed encouragement, continuous advertisements of useless goods. No! We are free to read, to play our musical instruments, continue with our hobbies, have interesting debates, go out whenever we want, visitors are not made to feel unwelcome by disturbing a television programme, likewise for people who telephone us - we are all completely free to talk, to come and go at will and to enjoy our lives! I will NEVER purchase or watch a television again! It was just a bad habit.

The animation is marred by one short sequence - the girl dancing on the escalator.
It is a piece of gross stupidity by the animation team. Escalators can be dangerous places and to encourage youngsters to execute dance steps on them is madness.

That is a jolly good point.
I thought the plot got around a tricky pc moment nicely with the child on the stage alone being photographed by her father only.
