Only open Thursday to Sunday 5pm to 9pm/9.30pm. Hardly worth opening.

I remember The Sun Wah when it was formerly Stan n Pips, and they were open every evening up to around 11.30pm,as people from the pubs were getting their suppers on the way home.Funny how a lot of chippies do not open as late as they used to,as South Garden in Forest Rd closes now about 9.30pm,and the chippy in Grantham Road closes at 8.30pm.I did notice that Top Wok on St Lukes Road stays open a lot later now,up to around Midnight at the weekend.

I believe the opening hours have changed since the original owner passed away, the younger people in there one was still at college and another working elsewhere, this may have changed now, but that was the position not long ago.

It’s still the original owners there, it’s the wife and daughters who run it now, I’m surprised they don’t just close it completely as it’s hardly open.
It’s been up for sale for years.

More likely half the pubs are closed down and people who do go out to pubs may have less disposable income and more regard healthy eating.

With more and more drinking centres opening up in Churchtown I would have thought the Sun Wah would be open more often - I suppose many of the drinking centres also do meals these days?

I think it would do a lot better if it was a decent kebab/Pizza place.
