I'm proud of being English, but find displays of flag waving vulgar and un-English - we don't need to bang on about our nationality in the way that say, the Irish do, garnering every plastic paddy going into a festival of Guinness drinking and silly outfits. I said nothing about your Englishness.

I am sick of everyone celebrating St Patrick's Day and then everyone having a problem with the English being patriotic when it comes to St George's Day. So many other UK nationals are anti-English at the moment that it is more important than ever to show your pride in being English.
