Labour are suggesting that Brexit should be a soft option. This means that although the UK would have exited from the EU, it would still be under some control of it and would still have to pay dues when necessary. The UK does not have to, nor would it be wise to, accept a soft option. The EU market relies more heavily on the UK than the UK does on that particular market. In about three years time, the UK's dealing with the EU would have decreased to about 5% of trade. i.e 95% of our trade is outside the EU! The amount of trade has been decreasing steadily for years. To do as Labour suggests would narrow our trading with the rest of the World. So no! is the short answer.
A load of tosh and, typically, of little surprise to me from an obvious Brexiteer.
I saw a woman on teatime news claiming that Brexit was of 1st importance in this election. When the interviewer asked about the state of the NHS, she said that Brexit had to be sorted before the NHS problems could be addressed.
As far as I'm concerned, that woman, it was sad to see, had been utterly brainwashed by the media.
Btw although I have no experience of export technicalities, my brother has and despairs of the paperwork involved in dealing with non-EU countries and has regular dealings with Norway which, despite a special trading agreement with the EU and party to the single market, he finds particularly burdensome.
Don't go to bed angry. Stay up and plot your revenge.

Usual nonsense, the EU does not and cannot dictate the internal financial policy of any EU country, yes there are employment laws which should be enforced but too many employers circumvent these laws to the detriment of employees.

The EU stipulates free movement of people and goods, it has never included free movement of benefit claimants, in fact the legislation disbars this, the reality is that other EU countries have long required a qualifying period for any immigrant before benefits are paid, EU legislation did not create gang master or zero hour contracts, these are all home grown or allowed. The real lie regarding immigration is to be found in the simple fact that non EU immigration has and continues to exceed immigration from within the EU, exiting the EU will have precisely zero effect on that.

If your belief that the EU needs us more than we need the EU,
then would be keen to keep us on board as a trading partner without strings, don't see that somehow, while within the EU we are free to trade with virtually anyone we wish, the only hitch is if it comes to reciprocal trade deals, these not surprisingly need EU approval, judging from the results of the latest push of sending politicians and trade groups on a tour of much of the world, I wouldn't put too much store on negotiating free trade deals with the rest of the world.

The only thing I would agree with you on is to be very aware of the so called "soft Brexit" where we could finish up with the worst of both options.

Remember when we see government contracts handed outside of this country, then the government comes out with the lie "that we had to do it under EU legislation" EU legislation demands equal opportunity, it doesn't demand that any country must accept bids which are detrimental to that country's own industry, no-one else in the EU does so, but of course our present government know only the price of everything and the value of sod all.

Until recently we imported thousands of tons of cheap Chinese steel, I suppose the EU had a hand in that as well. On that score during Cameron's time, the EU proposed a ban on this cheap steel dumping, guess which was the only country to oppose the ban, even when our own steel industry was being destroyed, in fact we managed to support this steel dumping for many years after the EU would have stopped it, good old independent Britain.

Our problems, particularly recently are very much developed in this country, personally I dread to think of this country out of the EU and at the tender mercies of the Tories, talk about out the frying pan and into the fire.

Almost all of the mainstream media (including all the big hitters like the BBC and SKY) were pro-Remain throughout the campaign, so that's unlikely.

What a load of tosh around 50% of UK Exports are to the EU, to abandon that market would be suicide.
