This topic has given rise to very heated arguments but no-one has mentioned about what happens when a decision has to be made about a pregnant woman whereby if she has a full term pregnancy it would mean that she would die - would people then agree with an abortion?
If you do agree, then surely that is morally wrong? But if you do not agree - then you are condoning the murder of the woman.
Would legal abortions lead to people being less careful when having sex?
If a woman is told that her baby is going to be seriously deformed? Should she have a choice or should she allow a child to suffer in childhood? Whose choice should it be? The governments or the mothers?
Surely for the sake of the welfare of a child, the child should be wanted and made to feel wanted. Abortion should be legal for a foetus less than 12 weeks old. for at sixteen weeks the foetus is almost fully formed. The woman should have the choice as it should be as it is a mother who has the most input in bringing up a child.
In countries where abortion is not allowed - parents have a large number of children, which they cannot afford. Many children are sold to face whatever future - is that OK?
Abortion should be legalised providing it is done before the foetus is twelve weeks old!

I am pro choice within medical guidelines of the law.

It is a difficult subject undeniably though abstinence of sex and number of children does not come in to it.

12 weeks is too late for a termination of convenience but not for medical reasons or rape in pro choice.
    'Viable' means without medical intervention.
With medical intervention babies do survive from an earlier date.

Women with no option for pro choice or forced to go through with an unwanted pregnancy are not held responsible for their actions in causing harm to the foetus directly or indirectly through self medication.

I believe that contraception and education should be shame free and widely available to young people to reduce the level of unwanted pregnancy.
