Sandgrounders are you ready for The Beast from the East?

It has been trying to snow today in Manchester Hills.

The trippers climbing the hills have swopped shorts for ski wear in the biting wind.

I expect we shall wake up to snow tomorrow.

We're quite prepared for a bit of cold weather and the possibility of some light snow. It is winter after all.

I was watching BBC World News earlier on today..... and laughing! Daytime temperatures struggling to get above freezing - that would be a warm break for me

Mind you, we are in the last week of summer here. So I had to put on a fleecy shirt when I got up this morning as it went down to a parky 14 degs last night!!
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!

Diane Oxberry weather reporter on North West news was beside herself with excitement reading the forecast tonight.

I cannot even remember what she was wearing.

The BBC World News I was watching is hosted by Katty Kay in Washington & Christian Fraser in London. I love the pair of them! Christian said he was so cold he was wearing tights under his trousers today. I though he was going to show them, but Katty screamed "No, Christian" Spoil sport.

Watch the UK come to a standstill - we have at least a couple of inches of snow in Southport.

Well colour me surprised we have Snow! The first thing I did this morning was go out & clear the path & footpath outside my home. I would have cleared the road but the Workmen on the building site across the road turned all the snow to ice driving down the road to park up. My neighbour is disabled so I cleared his footpath too.
    Lessons learnt after 2010s Snow!
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms ... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants, they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

    Snow has some unexpected uses.

We have 2 skylight windows the window cleaner cannot reach.
Snow cleans them beautifully particularly if one opens and jolts
    a rapid slide.

Beast from the East?? We know, we have taken them all in - but the weather is colder too.
