It is quite a distance from us though it made me sad as it is a beautiful area that we visit often.

There was a smell of smoke last night in Southport from an Easterly direction. I don't know if it was Saddleworth or not, but it most certainly was not a barbecue and it was only slight.

Today we stopped for a drink in Uppermill and drove back through Stalybridge.

The firefighters have a tough job they are hero's.

Luckily that side of the Moor was smoke free.

It got dense as we drove back to Bury via Mossley,Stalybridge and Ashton.

I think it was. I work in haydock and the smell was the same there as it was in Southport when I returned home.

Blowing out to sea must be the best option.
