Sad day for the World of Darts.

Eric "The Crafty Cockney" Bristow's sad passing at the Echo Arena in Liverpool last night.

If it was'nt for Eric,lending £10,000 to kickstart the career of the then NEW upcoming star of Darts Phil "The Power"Taylor,then we may never have seen or heard of Phil,and then The Power going on to win the PDC World title 16 times,up to his retirement in the New Year.And it was Eric and a breakaway group who started the PDC,and seperate the "Best" players from the BDO side of the sport,and with the help and support of Barry Hearn to get the Global coverage of the game to people all over the world,and make it change from just a Pub game to what the players can earn now from chucking tungsten into a board.A true legend in the world of darts,and am sure a Trophy of some sort will be played for in his honour,to remember the name "The Crafty Cockney" to go down in history books of the game.Forever.
