Eastbank street/lord street lights. Can't think of any others off the top of my head. Assuming you mean town center.

Not as many Public Toilets as there used to be,unfortunately for any persons visiting the town, possible Public Toilets left now are those being at Eastbank Square,Queen Anne Street,Hill Street corner of Lord Street,Park Crescent by Hesketh Park, and those under the Pier.
The ones from memory which are either closed,or are no longer there were ;
Preston New Road....now mostly used by Arriva bus drivers.
Cambridge Road by the Churchtown Health Centre......Gone.
Botanic Road next to Botanic Gardens....Gone.
High Park Place.(used to be in centre of the road)......Gone.
Bispham Rd,by Hawthorn Grove....Gone.
Hart Street Bridge.....Gone.
Scarisbrick New Road,by KGV College and Meols Park....Gone.
Manchester Road by Fire Station.....Gone.
Eastbank Street,known as White City.....Gone.
Lord Street West........Gone.
Rotten Row by Victoria Park.....Gone.
Waterloo Road by the playing fields.....Gone.
Liverpool Road by Ainsdale Library.....Gone.
And possibly a few others ?

Forgot about those tardis type, thinking of out & about around Southport there are some dubious ones that you wouldn't wish to use.
If I'm caught short I will use shops or pubs.

Do you mean those blue Tardis cans? I would sooner wet myself than use those! Anyway, by the time you get them open, you would have wet yourself.
There have also been reports that people have opened these, only to find someone asleep in them.

Never used them myself, But they are always being cleaned when I pass.
I'd use a pub if required, But my bladder is still capable of holding on if needed :-)

In February 2013 as a proposal to save money in Sefton, it was decided to close all toilet facilities in Southport:
The consultation results showed that:
• 93.37% of respondents were against the closure of all public toilets in Sefton
• 81.71% said they would be prepared to pay to use all of these facilities
o 51.22% would pay up to 30p
o 21.95% would be prepared to pay up to 50p
o 8.54% would be prepared to pay up to 40p
• 18.29% would not be prepared to pay to use public toilets
• 68.52% would be prepared to use toilets in cafes, restaurants and other buildings
Considering that most of the cafes, restaurants, other buildings that offered toilet facilities have now closed down - there really are very few options for all people, including visitors and tourists, in the town. I think the Council should open their staff toilets to the public since no doubt they want to do their bit in saving costs.
If I have to use a Hotel or Pub toilet - I always offer money to help with the cleaning/toilet roll/soap costs.

It should be a LEGAL requirement that councils provide toilet facilities in the town . What are people supposed to do . Wet themselves , and what about those people in wheelchairs .
REST IN PEACE THE 96.

Public Toilets
There used to be some at the junction of Lancaster Rd / Oxford Rd and Lulworth, that is now a probably defunct phone box with a tree by it.
The Eastbank St ones are now Rincon, a kind of Spanish restaurant / eatery.
There used to be some at the side of the library in Ainsdale but they went years ago.
There are however some at Birkdale Station on the Liverpool bound platform, you have to push the button the get the fella in the ticket office to open them. I'm not sure if Hillside Station has got some, I'm sure they were in the planning stages last time I was up there.

Do tell us which service you would cut to facilitate the provision of toilets. Legal requirement - honestly - wet themselves - really.
The new blocks of toilets all have a designated wheelchair accessible toilet - something which most of the older, now de-commissioned toilets did not. Similarly there are many establishments which have toilets in them for the public to use.
This is what happens when there's a quiet news day.

Typical of Sefton Council to keep taking the ever-rising council tax and business rates and then take the **** by loading the cost of providing basic necessities like public toilets onto the private businesses.
