The Supporters have already shown their disrespect for Clapham,by NOT going to any of the games, the sooner HE does go the better imo,as Clapham has'nt had any respect from the supporters for many years, hence the decline of the crowds that have disappeared over the years.
The gate tickets used to be around 1,100-13,000 at home games, they are lucky to even get 600+ per game now.And it definitely is'nt the ticket prices putting off the supporters from going, its the chairman.
And even the quality of the playing staff is in decline as well,as the team needs strengthening WITH DECENT players, but the man at the helm won't dip into the pot.
    The club has had many managers over the years,for example ;

    Wilson, Phil....... 18.08.2001....... 23.01.2003
    Walsh, Mike....... 01.02.2003........ 27.09.2003
    Hesketh, Tony..... 30.09.2003........ 07.10.2003
    Watson, Liam.... 18.10.2003........ 29.04.2006
    Cook, Paul... 06.01.2007........ 13.01.2007
    Maamria, Nourredine... 06.01.2007........ 19.01.2007
    Davenport, Peter....... 20.01.2007....... 05.04.2008
    Brabin, Gary....... 12.04.2008....... 31.05.2008
    Watson, Liam..... 30.06.2008........ 30.04.2013
    Wright, Alan...... 15.05.2013....... 06.12.2013
    Coleman, John.... 06.12.2013....... 29.04.2014
    Foyle, Martin..... 05.05.2014....... 05.10.2014
    Carden, Paul...... 19.01.2015....... 15.11.2015
    Maamria, Nourredine... 19.11.2015....... 14.03.2016
    Bishop, Andy...... 15.03.2016....... 03.09.2016
    Burr, Steve....... 08.09.2016....... 30.01.2017
    Preece, Andy ........ 08.02.2017........

Just for the record ; Southport have had decent crowds in the past, with some record numbers through the gates ;,27th January 1968 Southport v Everton 0-1 in front of 18795 spectators in FA Cup Round Three. 3rd September 1969 FL Cup v Man City 11215 attend, the best at Haig Ave in the FL Cup.........21st April 2007 Highest NL Home attendance 3206 v York City.

I have watched southport since 1967 on and off, i hear what you are all saying, do we blame manager, chairman, or the players who have been bought in ,are they doing this business or not.? sorry no escape this season.

    Then on we sail,
Never thinking that the wind could ever fail,
No one gets to heaven till they"ve lived a while in hell,
    And even then its rare
    That you"ll be going there.

I used to watch them regularly but the players they were bringing in just weren't good enough, the club for years has had no leadership which has meant the playing staff don't give a crap , the is no will to win , no pride in the shirt . So as long as there is a peaceful , lawful protest I wish it success . And I agree CC is the cause of the clubs decline .

The record crowd is 20010 against Newcastle in the FA Cup and the main reason 3000 turned up for the York game you mention is because it was free entry.
Even when getting what look like good crowds in the 1950s they were still one of the worst suppored clubs in the division.
I look forward to the masses returning when Charlie packs it in but, just like those who say they used to watch us in the League and those who say they'd watch us if we got back in the League, most people would only bother for the odd cup game. The town is too apathetic to turn up week in week out - too many big clubs nearby and a large chunk of the local population with roots and loyalties elsewhere.

So I'm assuming you have access to the financial goings on at Southport F.C by making this statement.

Clapham wouldn't let "Supporters" know the financial goings on. The only transfer fees I have seen is "undisclosed" he runs a tight ship tighter than a submarine door. The Oystons are like Father Christmas compared to Clapham.

No I have'nt got access, but the club is ran by one person, and he is only interested in himself, and NOT the supporters, this club USED to be a decent one in the past, but it is now only just surviving, but, IF money was made available, and some better players were signed for the team, then the club may survive longer.
The council have possibly got some plans in mind for when the club folds,as in some block of flats,or a small housing estate to be built on the land. The way the team are playing, only time will tell, but if CC stays, and the club is relegated this season, then the clock will start ticking.

    What absolute utter garbage.
Incidentally the promised protest didn't materialise.
