Petition For Labour Councillor.
Sara Rowbotham
Quote
"Tens of thousands of people have signed a petition calling for former sexual health worker Sara Rowbotham to be recognised for her role in exposing grooming gangs in Rochdale.
Sara, who was played by Maxine Peake in the BBC drama Three Girls that was aired in the past week, played an instrumental role in getting the girls’ voices heard after she spent years recording and reporting cases of child abuse as a sexual health worker for Rochdale Crisis Intervention Team."

Viewers were left 'disgusted' when Thursday night's final episode revealed that Sara was 'excluded from future initiatives on child grooming' and then made redundant.
A petition started by Katei Blezard calling for Sara to be 'recognised' has been signed by over 40,000 people at the time of publication:

She stood up and was counted.
I signed the petition without hesitation.

Redundancy was directly a result of Tory cuts.
Rochdale has suffered from £110 million in support grant cuts since 2010.
Cuts to HIV, drugs, alcohol, children’s and health services were forced on the council in 2015 to save £37 million over 2 years.
You can understand why she is now a Labour councillor.

?
The issue is about giving recognition to this woman who spoke up about her concerns to Labour controlled Rochdale Council workers Social workers and police who covered up the evidence for fear of seeming 'racist' and not to alienate the ethnic voters of Rochdale.
At the time Sara Rowbotham approached the police reports of similar these crimes had been going on since 2003 at least.
The crimes prosecuted in 2012 were committed years before the the trials.
If the Labour party will not listen to its own supporters I am bound to say this would not have happened in a Tory seat.

As of February 2017, Ahmed and three other gang members Adil Khan, Abdul Aziz and Abdul Rauf, were facing deportation to Pakistan after five different appeals were dismissed. They had challenged government moves to strip them of their British Citizenship, with three arguing the Government had failed in a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of their children"
Like the invasion of Iraq it is Labour's gross misjudgement.

The cuts are most definitely down to the Tories, the reason this disgusting abuse continued for so long was very much down to the PC culture and we musn't offend, certainly there was also the feeling that anyone making complaints against people from another culture were almost always branded racist.
In fact part of the scumbags appeal was that it was the fault of government (local and national) for not controlling our own females, we know very well in too many eyes females young and adult should never be allowed out unsupervised or clothed from head to toe, it is this medieval, archaic culture which must be constrained.
It is also worth remembering that it is only relatively recently that historic sexual abuse of young people has been recognised and brought before the courts, most of these cases involved establishment figures or even groups, with the same result that young people were not believed.
Anyone wishing to make political capitol out of this would we well advised to look a little deeper, all perpetrators whatever their ethnicity or position are scum and deserve no consideration whatsoever, even now a number of Rochdale scum are making multiple appeals (at our expense) to avoid deportation.

It was also the attitude of 'professionals'.
The way they judged these the girls and their family's.
The hideous idea that children made 'life choices' to have sex with adults.
One can only admire Sara Rowbothan as anyone who stood up for what is right.
At least in her present job as a Labour councillor she has more of a voice
in educating the establishment in Rochdale.
