    On Line Product Reviews

At one time, it was possible to gain some idea of what you were thinking of purchasing by reading customer reviews on the product. This is no longer possible since so many reviews are fake now. If you want to spend time checking out the reviews there is software to enable you to do this - but it really should not be necessary. Does anyone else use the reviews?

I use them quite a bit, but mainly to get details of any product features that are not explained in the (usually poor) manufacturer's description.

I use reviews of hotels a lot more.

Well, the sales staff are hardly likely to give you an impartial review - this also applies to electrical goods etc etc., and you can't see them working in the shop.

A local independant owner retailer will provide the review because they are the ones who value repeat custom.

Like so many people - local shopping has been tried numerous times. In order to keep costs down, the local shops only sell average sized low quality clothing or the more popular commodities at inflated prices. This does not satisfy everyone so people are forced to purchase on line. For instance - I am unable to purchase circuit boards, resistors, capacitors etc., locally. I am unable to purchase clothing locally as I am over six feet tall - my size is not catered for. My sister is unable to find suitable jewellery components for repairs these have to come from China or the States - these needs are less common purchases and insufficient to keep a business floating. So I have little choice.
