Are there sufficient Vegans to justify a vegan restaurant?
I, personally, do not eat meat/fish/chicken but am NOT a vegan!
I think I fall into the category of a 'Lacto-vegetarian'.

Good luck to them. Nice to have the option. The place in the market was great. Is it the same people?

I was in Liverpool with my boyfriend yesterday and we went to a vegan/vegetarian place on Bold Street called Love Thy Neighbour. I'm a vegetarian and he'd eat any old crap! Our meals and deserts were tasty, and satisfying. We have also been to Our Kitchen again on bold Street and again the meat free menu was interesting and our meals lovely. We talked funny enough how Southport is generally lacking somewhere like these places and how they would make a killing seeing as generally any place you go locally only offers two or three boring vege options on their menus. Good luck to this new place, we will give it a ago, I'm sure they will do very well and a meal doesn't have to have meat in it for it to be delicious!

Yes, that would be a good idea! Wesley Street, since it has been practically closed to traffic, and is not as busy as the main streets is probably the only place where people can really relax and enjoy eating outside.
I really don't know how people can sit and eat outside on the busy streets with the whole world trying to negotiate a pathway around them, apart from the insects taking their share of the food and the pigeons/sea gulls waiting to pounce. Even more amazing, people have sat outside eating meals and chatting when on three separate occasions that I know of, there were smells from blocked sewage pipes next to them?? Yuk!

Don't think you have to be a vegan to eat vegan food ;-)
I wish them all the best.

I don't expect that you do HAVE to be a vegan.... but it is highly unlikely that a non-vegan would choose a vegan option!

Ruddy misery food - if we're not meant to eat animals why are they meat flavoured?

Did you mention it to them? They would probably be glad of the feedback.
Ped- I've never been vegetarian or vegan but I quite often go for that choice on the menu as it gives me ideas for meat-free days at home.

I don't know why a lot of food is meat flavoured and yes animals are raised to be eaten, if not they would be practically extinct. But why do some meat eaters feel that a meal isn't a meal unless an animal is part of it? Maybe try an occasional meat or dairy free meal meal now and again, you might realise how nice it can be.
