New Kids Home
I see that a company (The New Horizons Group) are wanting to turn 90 Churchgate into a home for problem kids aged 10-17.
Surely there would be better places for this home instead of somewhere like Churchgate.

Why is Churchgate some sort of historical land site or something?

No, but if the children's home is occupied by honest and decent hardworking and respectable individuals then there should not be any problems. However, the previous children's homes opened in Southport shows that these qualities are severely lacking among the clientele who live in them.
Ideally, such places should operate with only a small number of children, and of different age groups. At present many homes contain a large number of children of the same age group which is of no benefit to the children themselves or the local community.
If the management of these homes is unable to control those under their supervision - then these establishments should be placed in areas on the outskirts of towns

It's for 4 kids between 10 and 17.

90 Churchgate
Just posted on ots about this address. Got deleted. The people that own this address are run by a disqualified director. Abbey kershaw is registered to this address. Jenifer Bromley/Mayhon (John) Bromkersh development/ property. 18/20 crown buildings. Looking after kids. I don’t think so. They regularly don’t pay anybody and come the gangster when pressed for payment..

Would you not think a road which is populated with other flats would be more suited, somewhere around Avondale Road.
There's a home for problem kids on Leyland Road and the police are there quite often, there's also one on Hampton Road that has also had problems.
Would you be happy if a kids home popped up nextdoor to you?

I think it's more likely the case that Bromkersh developments will be selling to the care home company if the planning application is approved rather than Bromkersh running the care home.

Why? How many 4 bedroomed flats are there?

There's quite a few more around the town that you never hear of any problems from.

Yet they contain problem kids.
How does that work?
Orwell said "If there is hope, it lies in the proles." Whilst champagne socialists see diversity idealised at university, the common folk experience it first hand in their neighbour hoods.

Is this New Horizons part of One Vision / Green Pastures etc - a personal property portfolio disguised as a charity ?

Ah, So that's what this is about. A 'Not on my doorstep' syndrome.
Maybe we should just give them all lethal injections and save society the issue.
