Need recommendations for designing and fitting of new kitchen
Any recommendations for a local kitchen fitting firm,as we need quotations for a design and full install of a complete new kitchen units, cupboards, including possibly doing the tiling as well ? We were going to get a quote from Wren Kitchens in Aintree, but they only design and Dry-Fit the kitchen units,as they do not install the plumbing or installation of the appliances.

Have you tried these:

I haven't personally but they have been going for years and I've never read anything bad about them. They also kindly donated a raffle prize for a charity I support a few years ago. I'm sure one of the staff used to be on here.

I think it was Wick's in Preston, definitely Preston anyway - where I saw some really modern units. I am not sure if they fit them, or can arrange for that to be done. But the kitchen units were neat and very modern with rounded corners rather than squared and some very neat storage options.

I can recommend Ross Hopgood, who fitted our kitchen supplied by Howdens, who also offer a free no-obligation design service. He offers a full service including plumbing, tiling and electrics.

I've since had Ross back to fit internal doors and also some general joinery work - floors and decking.
He is totally reliable and punctual, and supplies detailed written quotes and invoices - remember those?

Very good, fair price. They do a full quote including units, oven, hob, sink, & tiling. I felt the deal we had was excellent. Nigel the owner project manages the whole time, on the estimate it showed when each person was due to arrive i.e. electrician, joiner etc. All rubbish was removed
If I needed a new kitchen again I would certainly use them

Kitchen Images highly recommended. Good design, well managed installation and great after sales.

We had them do ours they employ a self employed fitter who does the majority of the work to a good standard - as for after sales service - poor , That is my opinion i,m sure others may differ

Thank you all for the replies,at least I have some recommendations to look at now,and to get a couple of designs and quotations. As I was going to get Magnet to come and design the kitchen, and then order the units, wall cupboards, worktops sinktop, taps etc from them, and then get someone in to install, and tile..as it MAY have been cheaper ?
PS ; Anyone else with suggestions would be appreciated.

Mmmh! Have heard some negative stories about Magnet. I have found those who advertise big are the most expensive and not necessarily the best. Their reviews are hit and miss. I would personally favour recommendations from those in the trade locally.

Definitely suggest getting one company then they project manage. Trying to co-ordinate plumbers, electricians, joiners, tilers is hard enough and if things go wrong you need to be able to just go to one contact point.

We are in the same process - have a look at www.diy-kitchens.com they have an online ordering so you can get an idea of price of the units. They have big showroom, over near Doncaster - we go past that way every few weeks so no problem to pop in. We were impressed with their range, and we did not get hassled by sales people - Wren reminds me of buying a used car or a timeshare - pressure to make a decision immediately - my daughter bought from Wren and had an independent fitter fit it, and it does look good, and the quality is good too.
Creative Kitchens at Burscough are good too.
We now have several quotes, and now need to make a decision.
