When is enough is enough?

Put these little tossers on to some kind of national service for 2 years from the age of 18 to 20... everybody wins

Why should the military be saddled with deadbeats? They have enough problems recruiting suitable applicants without a bunch of wasters.

Sure put the scum to work in a disciplined environment, where they will have to turn up and do the work, currently these sort of schemes are basically ignored by by those supposedly doing community work.

I would prefer colleges of further education with an entry level
specific to the disadvantaged in education social deprivation and the results of f e c c kless parenting.

They should be identified, arrested, tried and punished. Sadly the police service has been cut below the minimum they have to prioritise and often do nothing. If anyone does face justice the sentence is derisory and often seen as a badge of honour. Difficult to know what to do.

The Army don't want them, they never did. First steps should be the CPS charging and pursuing charges against anyone who breaks the Law. Judges should stop trying to play social workers by giving them one more chance. All suspects should be given equal treatment regardless of Age, Gender or social back ground. The Police should act on intelligence given rather than prioritising certain crimes. And finally, put more flipping Police on the streets.

They shouldn't go into the mainstream army, as has been said the army has enough to do! But National Service is a great idea. Put these yobs in penal colonies, living in camps, spartan accommodation, and make them go out and do forced labour. Cleaning up graffiti & chewing gum, restoring and maintaining parks & public spaces that the Councils say they can't afford to look after, making and delivering meals to the elderly and disabled and/or doing their gardens for them, litter picking. Make them do something positive for the societies they blight under the watchful eye of a hard as nails Sergeant Major.

If all these jobs need doing then surely someone should be paid to do it. Convicted criminals should be punished not taking potentially paid work from the poor.

Unfortunately, punishment is not in vogue in courts and correction centres anymore.

I uploaded a video of some kids breaking & entering a property in Ainsdale to this website. They are a small gang of lads in their late teens mainly wearing black puffs jackets and baseball caps. They are seen all over Southport always kicking stuff over but nothing ever seems to be done.
The video was under the heading 'Feral rats' but couldn't be viewed at the time as I'd put an exclamation mark on the title and this site wasn't coping with that at the time.
The police were called and attended the incident but the lads had scampered and the owner of the property didn't want to take things further so that was the end of that.

So, with nothing better to do on a dark damp night, I browsed through last years threads, and found it! I've removed the "!!" in the title, so it should be OK now.

Thanks Sev, shame I didn't get better pics than that (Could have sworn I'd videoed it, lol), hopefully someone will recognise them from this and their description.
Their was also one in a bright blue jacket with curly shoulder length hair but he seems to have dropped the jacket now. They were hanging around in Ainsdale this week, pretty sure they're local to here.

The problem with that is they need to be heavily supervised and there are limited tasks they can perform, there is already a shortage of tasks for the Community Payback scheme. Also many of the Yobs / Vandals are probably school children, parents need to be responsible for their offsprings.

Yes I agree parents need to take more responsibly for thier offsprings but believe me having served 23 years in the army four of them at an Army training centre , receiving young men some of whom thought they were hard and with chips on thier shoulders but within a month they had changed thier attitude . And to see them pass out like real men with pride in themselves and thier unit was always a pleasure for me , knowing that you had cracked them changed thier attitude towards authority and thier fellow men (and women ) it really was a credit to them .
