It's Sean Connery before he was famous..

It seems unlikely that these pictures are actually from the Mr.Universe competition , most likely a junior class.

Back then they were all natural and had body hair. In the 1980s pic they are on steroids and completely hairless. Not sure these days what the policy is on steroids but they're still smooth & oily!

You forgot the bright orange fake tan!

It was ONLY in 1990 Body Building competitions in the USA where body builders were tested for anabolic steroids. The winner of the Olympian body Building contest failed the drug test and had to hand over all his winnings and title to the runner up. It was obvious that the runner up had been using these drugs even more so then the original winner - but there are so many ways that the body builders can hide the fact that they are using drugs. During this year - audiences became disillusioned with the 'flat' winners of the competition and since then there have been no drug tests for anabolic steroids. There are also other ways that body builders inflate their muscles - one of these is to inject oil directly into the muscles.
Females take part in Body Building competitions, but the steroids make them look very masculine - and yes it is difficult to tell the difference between males and females. But ridiculously, some of these women who have now turned all body fat into muscle - pop along to the plastic surgeon to get breast implants to imitate the fat that breasts consist of. The result is a rubber pack on hard muscles, which looks stupid.
