    Mitchell Quy.

I see from the news page that he has been refused parole. And rightly so .

    Why?

If he has served his sentence and fullfilled the criteria for parole surely he would be entitled?
    That would be justice fullfilled.

No he hasn't served his sentence at all.
He was given a life sentence with a minimum tariff of 17 years.
All this means is that he must serve a minimum of 17 years before being considered for parole and, as I understand it, has been considered for parole but not granted the same. Therefore he mustn't have 'fulfilled the criteria'.
A life sentence is exactly what it says on the tin - a life sentence.
Even if he was granted parole, which is more properly described as 'released under licence', it would mean - having satisfied the necessary criteria - he could be re-called to prison at any time.

He is a dangerous psychopath who will never be safe in the community. Hopefully each parole application will recognise this and he'll rot in prison.

As has been stated he hasn't served his sentence , and he would be a danger to others because he is a psychopathic killer .

No he hasn't served his sentence, but the definition of parole is 'The temporary or permanent release of a prisoner before the expiry of a sentence, on the promise of good behaviour'.

It is for the parole board to decide whether this is justified, that is their job and not that of the general public. In this case they have made their decision and that is the end of the matter for now.

By the way, a life sentence in legal terms does not mean whole life. That is reserved for a very small number of persons.

I agree with much of what you write but I think you are confusing the terms of the sentence with the length of incarceration which is indeed reserved for the few who receive a whole life tariff.

There are some crimes that should NEVER qualify the perpetrator for parole and my god this is one of them - remember it was one life taken but a lot more completely ruined - let him die in prison and hopefully in pain .

Why are you all attacking this poster.

Read what they have written. I'll even make it easier for you.

I'm guessing that the refusal of parole stems from his lack of remorse.
