Marine Drive
I have driven this route many times and just like all other motorists take the drive as completely normal.
But if you are walking along by the beach, watching the cars drive past - it is quite amusing as they negotiate the roller coastal road, bobbing up and down.
Today was the best - I watched a double decker bus going along there - that really was bouncing - its front bumper was literally a fraction of an inch from the ground in some areas.
Is it not possible to smooth this road out, or is it intentional to prevent speeding?

The coastal road was constructed 50 years ago of rubble. I can remember going there when we had bricks and rubble to get rid of. It was said, at the time, it would never survive but it did. A cheap solution to reclaiming land.

It was actually built on household rubbish. I remember the bin waggons dumping there.

Part was built on rubble and hardcore, part was on the contents of the bin wagons, no prizes for noting the two different areas.
