Indeed! And if the OP is the landlord what is the other side to the story? Why did the tenants leave? Stories abound of irresponsible landlords failing to honour their side of the rental agreement, leaving frustrated tenants with no other option. Perhaps Ben P would like to come back and re-assure us that this is not the case.

I would love also to meet I and D Pinter. I felt so sorry when I met them, and hope they are OK. Now in Leamington Spa and Coventry Dec 2017.
