    Is it More or Less

If you have a minority group of people, and if some of those leave the group - would those people then be classed as a lesser minority group or a greater minority group of people?

They would be group less or invisible until they joined another group.

I was thinking of a more in depth reply but then I went shopping.

Now I am hungry and dinner is cooking.

A 'minority group' is defined by the characteristics shared by that minority not the amount of people who belong to it.

Minority groups can also overlap if one counts the religion Nationality and sexual identification of a person.

I am going to have dessert and coffee now.

Yes, but if a number of people in a group defined as a minority by the characteristics they share, were to become fewer in number would that make them a greater minority or a lesser minority of that group?

    It would not change.
The definition of 'minority' is a part of a whole numbering less than half.

Remember the idiom 'a minority of one'.

That is only an idiom. Imagine going in front of one of our judges and saying I want minority status, because I believe in !!**!!** whatever - and I want minority status! When he has picked himself up from laughing - you pay the legal costs!
