Came past on the train yesterday afternoon and the fences were down and a guy was leaning on the gate. Is the path now back open to the public?

Apparently they are now going to 'monitor' the crossing, they should either install a proper bridge or move the crossing to a more suitable place.

They had a guy there monitoring everyone all day every day. Didn't stop that idiot with his earphones blazing away from walking in front of a train.

That guy should be tied to the rails. Then we should have a bridge. Only took a day to build one over Waterloo Road for the golf. But that wasn't done by Bootle Council. Bootle allowed it because of the lucre that swelled their coffers. A bridge here gives nothing to Merton Road. It's only used by them posh toffs from Formby so they can do without.
