Oh the old "us taxpayers" line. I'm sure the vast majority of cyclists are also tax payers. It's not as if you paying your taxes is some sort of noble gesture we're all supposed to be grateful for. We all have to pay them and nobody will agree with the way every single penny of "their" tax in spent.
It may have escaped your notice that a lot of driver are selfish cnuts too.

So because he doesn't go that fast, he can't know that others do? 20mph+ is easily achieved on a racer, and are not best suited to cycle/pedestrian paths.
