How did you spend this beautiful Day?

Southport looked great and so busy with people enjoying the good weather.

Hesketh Park looked well kept and clean.
Brought our cycles for the coast road.
The path was not as bumpy as the road.

I was out all day long! Re-pointing and getting the house ready for the winter months. Should have done it earlier in the year - but it was far too hot and I had better things to do then.

Off work this afternoon and had a lovely game of golf at the municipal by myself. Hardly anyone on the course and very relaxed. Started about 4pm and finished around the same time the sun was going down over the sea. Fabulous.

It was, indeed it was! But I am never one to shy from a bit of elbow grease now and then - especially when I am being threatened with a lock out!

Wonderful day, probably the best for the last of the year. Took my blood pressure monitor back to docs then dig up 30sq mt area ready planting, with help from other half, then opened some bottles of wine. Brilliant day

And what is your blood pressure after having the wine?

The sunset was incredible. Although not from today this picture is from Southport this year after I ran up to ainsdale with my dogs back in July. It was very similar today albeit a bit further north.

Absolutely incredible. There were dozens of people sitting off watching the display.

    Restoring my classic MG.

Orwell said "If there is hope, it lies in the proles." Whilst champagne socialists see diversity idealised at university, the common folk experience it first hand in their neighbour hoods.

Before we left for Southport yesterday Mr Hamble watered the garden.
He found a Bat (looks like common Pipestrelle) on a black seedling cover.

The Bat looked like a leaf until he got closer.
Breathing was obvious only after the jolt of carrying the lid to the patio door.

I got a cap of water and watched a tiny tongue lap it up.
The wings opened so that we could see they were undamaged.

Before Mr Hamble could take a photo the bat flew up and away.

Happy ending and lovely to see the creature close up.
