Yes hope Ped , apparently I have an irregular heart beat so that's another pill .

My husband's had AF for about 15 years. I know how scary it can feel. With the right meds you will be able to keep it under control, so don't worry too much.

That said, watch the booze! It hasn't stopped my other half, but it often starts it off again. Moderation is the key... but that's never been his strong point!

Thanks for that Seivad , don't and never have been a one for the booze, I like a glass of red wine or the occasional Scotch .

I had surgery for AF about 5 years ago, similar to an angiogram when they cauterised the area of a ventricle causing the irregular beat. Gave me a new lease of life and I've never had a problem since (touches wood)
