Horses in Churchtown
Why is it that people are allowed to ride their horses on the roads in Churchtown and be able to leave their animals excrement all over the road. Every day there are piles of horse manure outside peoples houses (usually mine). If it was a dog owner, they would fined for not clearing up after their animal.

Quite agree they should be made to clean up after their animals, there are ways to prevent the mess.

Because a horse's diet means their crap isn't toxic.

It still stinks and I doubt that you would want it walking into your house on someone’s shoes

True, but I've never known anyone accidentally stand in a pile of horse dung. They tend to be big enough to be easily seen and avoided apart and also tend to be on the road where people don't walk.

Shovel it up and put it on the compost. Great for the garden.

Is it silly season already - I didn't know that we were due someone whinging about horse manure.
It doesn't stink in the slightest unless you're particularly delicate and sensitive. Honestly - some people!

Initially thought this was another handle on The Barton Comedy.

As long as you don't park your car indoors on carpet what's the problem?

Bum Bum!
I can't believe the shock/astonishment/absolute ignorance shown by someone WHINGEING about horse manure. When I was a kid in the 50's bin wagons were pulled by HORSES deliveries Bread/Coal were made using HORSE drawn vehicles shrimping was carried out using HORSE drawn rigs the roads were full of it but it SOON disappeared. I never realised we had been invaded by some Alien life form who think HORSE MANURE is some sort of Toxic material. Get a bucket scoop it up and GIVE it to a gardener for Christ's sake they actually BUY the stuff from stables that is how obnoxious a material it is.
By the way you need to stop your TWO year old walking in the road or he/she may get knocked over by a cycling chimney sweep.
