^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I'm with you on this.
Orwell said "If there is hope, it lies in the proles." Whilst champagne socialists see diversity idealised at university, the common folk experience it first hand in their neighbour hoods.

Miserable gits - this programme is pure entertainment and the perfect antidote to the toxic atmosphere on the Ex Factor.

Worse than a trip to B&Q
and ten times as long.

Instead of watching some plastic people on the television - why not go out and do some dancing yourself! There is local ballroom dancing, salsa dancing, line dancing etc., far greater fun for people who like the activity and you become your own champion.

Just a tongue in cheek allusion to it's oft reported demise.

I like the X Factor.
The Judges and the show promote equality and give a platform for talent
to ordinary people ignored by the fame system due to their image be it due to their colour or accent weight education job or quirkiness or other.
Like BGT the ethos on inclusion is a positive public show.
I applaud it and Simon Cowell.

I can take or leave most of the shows that require the public to vote. Wouldn't knock anyone who likes them, though. It's all personal taste, we're all different. I usually dismiss 'I'm A Celebrity...' every November, as a load of rubbish, same crap celebs, reality show stars, same old challenges. Then end up with one eye on it while I'm reading. At least with 'Strictly' the 'slebs' are putting a load of effort in.
My sister in law will only watch 'Big Brother' type shows, or 'true crime' shows. Little else. Don't understand her and she gets a fair bit of mickey-taking. But she's a good sport.
Each to their own, as they say.
