One of the peculiarities of Manuka honey is the fact that on average the annual production of Manuka honey is about 1,700 tons, yet surprisingly some 10,000 tons of "Manuka" honey are sold annually, 1,800 tons in Britain alone, very versatile stuff

Spot on SF ! . And avoid Chinese honey, or blended honey which might contain it, like the plague !

Although there is apparently, one small time producer of Manuka in the UK the genuine product is made almost exclusively in New Zealand, Tasmania and some other parts of SE Australia. Genuine Manuka honey is very expensive, even here. Consequently, if anyone there (or over here) is purchasing "Manuka" at a competitive price, they are almost certainly being duped into buying a fake product, believing it to be the real thing.
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!
