You will find, as time goes on, it will require a little skill to regulate the vent, or vents, to almost close them off in order to save fuel, and to contain the heat. Enjoy.

Sounds daft, but building a fire is an art form.
Have not quite mastered it yet.

I love mine too and need not be expensive to run if you're happy to burn free wood.
I burn some wood but mostly I use the fuel nuggets as they save on having a lot of soot build up. You need the chimney sweeping at least twice a year if burning wood.
    Enjoy

    Wood Moisture Content

Ensure any logs/firewood is dry before use....Burning damp fuel will cause tar buildup in the flue, it's inflammable and almost impossible to clear.

Congratulations, we got one in our extension as no chance in the house. Love it. Got a meter tester to make sure only burn wood less than 20% moisture. Got a lot of our free wood which we let dry out. Otherwise get kiln dried logs from Aldi £3.99 a bag which are superb

Apologies for being pedantic - it’s what a long time teaching in secondary education does - but unless you are fighting (to the death?) with your burner, it is a dual fuel burner not duel (pistols at dawn etc)
It sounds wonderful. Wish I could have one (or a wood burning stove) as they make the place look and feel so cosy. The wood burner in Peaky Blinders is great in the winter.
Sadly, I have no chimneys now. Hope it gives you many years of comfort and delight.

With two fire engines roaring through town tonight with all sirens going - someone else has found another form of heating I guess.
