Yes correct but when the government drafts law badly then it is an inevitable consequence which unfortunately has been more common over the last few years.

    Well said.

Orwell said "If there is hope, it lies in the proles." Whilst champagne socialists see diversity idealised at university, the common folk experience it first hand in their neighbour hoods.

If I was a Cake baker and A request came for a cake "Corbyn is the Messiah" I would just bake the cake and give the buyer a free icing tube kit for a take it away and do it yourself job!

    There is always a solution.

Very well said - brilliant - the perfect solution! Look at how much money would have been saved if the bakers had had the wit to think of that!

And do you think that solution would be acceptable to the customer, or the customer in the gay cake case?

I think it would have been harder to take the cake company to court if they agreed to provide the service (the cake)without the message.

The customer has the choice to accept a compromise or shop elsewhere.

In future I would list the 'decoration' as a separate service subject to
    rules of the owners.

Personally I think the would be customer was just looking for something to kick off about or make a statement, no business or shop is obliged to supply a customer for many reasons, the customer could just have taken his custom elsewhere, no problem at all.

For instance would anyone ask a Muslim catering company to supply a hog roast and bar, then kick off if it was refused, most would quite sensibly take their business elsewhere, without making a fuss or claiming discrimination.

Absolutely - that is my view as well!
