A sprout a day keeps a spare tyre away.

    What is your second course?

I had salt beef diced roast potatoes with rosemary Yorkshire pudding peas sweetcorn and gravy.

Yes, but I bet it was not served on a wooden board! By the way - that first course is a pea, not a sprout!

    *out of focus pea*

I rather like my dinner on a plate.
Plates are great they can be warmed before use and put in the dish washer afterwards.

In the South of this fantastic country - there is a fashion where certain restaurants serve up tiny courses of food on decorative wooden boards or similar. This was usually in Restaurants awarded the Michelin Star. It was considered to be 'upper class', and the cost of these 'courses' ( about seven in total) is generally in excess of £100. But recently, people have been complaining that they want 'good' portions of food served on 'proper' plates. With my photo, it was time to take the proverbial p...ss!
