Hotpoint seem to be in a panic, on one hand they say there has never been problems with that model and in the next breath its urgent checks and recalls. Apparently in the US fridges are constructed differently with a metal back.
The problem with cladding is the Aluminium outer which has been used for its weight saving properties which as every schoolboy knows is highly flammable.

Depends how you define burning or highly flammable, under prolonged fire or heat aluminium will oxidise down to an ash, however get yourself a chunk of aluminium and put a match to it, it sure as hell will not catch fire and burn as for instance paper or plastic.
