the league ONE I bet would have 16 clubs

As you can see my Super League list has 16, no real space for the likes of Liverpool. A league with more than 16 is hard to run as the travelling distance is great. 16 weekends for league and then that gives time for an international super cup outside of Europe.Football is not like baseball with over a 100 games in a season.

The league can not be made up of the past or Aston V, Ajax, Porto. and Notts Forr. would have to be included

If a two tier league 32 teams Everton may make it as possibly would Newcastle United

International games would just consist of World Cup Matches. spread over 4 or 5 years.

I think you'll find John that, any such league would be made up of those clubs financially able to compete. As the 9th richest club in the world Liverpool would certainly feature ahead of, all the Italian clubs, Zenith, Schalke and 2 or three of those from Spain. Interestingly (or disappointingly) Everton doesn't feature in the top 20 of wealthy clubs but, Newcastle United does!!

When is a club going to have the b*lls to insist that players play out their contract. And if the player "goes on strike" or lacks commitment then either stop his wages or fine him heavily. For all his faults at least Suarez played out his last year here, as though his life depended on it. And turned in some brilliant performances.

A friend of the family is a member there, although he's not invited me yet.

It was the Home Builders Federation Annual Golf Day, the company that I work for enter a team of four every year and one of the team had to drop out and I got a last minute call up. I didn't have to think about it for too long
If you ever get the opportunity to play there, take it, fantastic clubhouse and facilities and superb courses, don't park in the extra large space outside the entrance or you'll upset a certain Mr Poulter.
