When the previous and present tory government are still wrestling with the legacy of the Labour governments massive overspending. Labour almost brought the country to its knees. Blair, to increase his popularity, decided to employ more Police officers to resolve the public's concern over rising crime - to the extent that the UK had more police than the US. The additional numbers of officers did very little to reduce crime rates and Blair realised that the country could not afford the additional expense, so in his second term of office he began reducing the numbers considerably. The NHS is paying dearly on the repayments of the loans that Labour encouraged to expand the NHS - the expansions of NHS properties was carried out by Labour associated construction companies. So before you go accusing the Tories of cronyism - Labour most certainly is no stranger to it! It was also Labour who first introduced privatisation into the NHS, which has resulted in a lack of communication
    between departments and greater inefficiency.

The EU has had more than forty years to satisfy the promises that it made. That the UK would become far more wealthy and trade would be increased, and that unemployment would be reduced considerably. The EU has never in all that time, made good on those promises. People only have so much patience.

The UK is the most relaxed country with regard to immigrants - we have received immigrants for hundreds of years. But not to the extent where British people have to compete with overseas people for jobs in their own country. In addition to those jobs being advertised outside of the UK and the fact that the British workers (actually the hardest workers in the EU) were classed as lazy - pushed the boundaries of acceptance of foreign people to the edge.
The reason why more and more foreign labour is required, is because the gang
masters, responsible for bringing foreign labour to the UK do not take on labour in
accordance with the employment conditions that the British would expect. Foreign
people, as shown by the blogs on foreign websites, soon become very disillusioned

about the work - this is no wonder if you have seen these people on the fields - they either return home or seek alternative employment in the UK. As observed just recently, some of the picker/packers returning from work, purchased scissors and hair clippers from Boots. This transient labour force needs to be replenished on the investment farms, hence the demands for more immigrants, and more pressure on the UK.
Farming is another reason why we had to come out of the EU. With the expansion
of the population, there will soon be insufficient produce grown in the UK - soon it
will all have to be imported at higher prices.
There are two types of farming in the UK - the massive overseas investment farmers who produce huge amounts of waste and a very exercise a very inefficient system that keeps prices high, and our own private farmers who produce naturally grown produce that is a more healthier choice. Obviously, our own private farmers need to be supported while the EU pays massive grants to the overseas investors for the amount of produce that they supply to EU countries - grown on UK land!
One Resource published "The austerian ideology that dominated elite discourse five years ago has collapsed, to the point where hardly anyone still believes it. Hardly
anyone, that is, except the Government that still rules Britain – and most of the
British media. All of the economic research that allegedly supported the austerity
push has been discredited. Widely touted statistical results were, it turned out,
based on highly dubious assumptions and procedures – plus a few outright mistakes
    – and evaporated under closer scrutiny."
We are not suffering any shortage of skills - this is another false claim! The UK offers
one of the highest levels of education in the World. Every year, there is a million
University/College and school leavers released to the employment market - there
are Engineers, Doctors, Teachers, Scientists.......every field imaginable of people who
speak English fluently, understand the British way of life, how to socialise with
British people, understand British Laws and British Standards of all trades. Who, for
heavens sake, would be more skilled than they are?
There is a programme now in place for apprenticeships for those who would prefer practical work as opposed to continuing in education. There are Nurses university courses - where are the cut backs?
Then of course are our fishing industry......................
No-one able to think, hear and see was mislead about Brexit. It was a complete necessity! Most of the electorate ignored the Brexit propaganda, they voted by their own understanding and life experiences.
No, we will not enter some form of Utopia - it will take a lot of hard work, common
sense and a lot of investment, particularly in technology - it will mean a greater
trend towards Industry and less reliance on financial institutions. It will mean that
people must learn to rely less on others and stand on their own two feet.
Suprisingly I agree with much of what you say, regarding gang masters etc, but if you wish to look at the back catalogue, let's do that.

Sure Labour spent a lot of money, but they where elected on a brief to rectify years of Tory neglect, let's not forget when Blair came to power we had schools and hospitals declared as slums, we had buildings closed because they were classed as unsafe, yet we had no options to send our children and sick people to these falling down dumps, the party of law and order had let the police force fall behind, Labour set outto put these right, the one big mistake they made was to become bedazzled by the financial sector and let the private sector become to deeply
    involved particularly as regardsfunding issues.

Up until the fnancial crash our economy was still OK, the financial crash was not created by Labour, we all know by now that it was dodgy if not illegal accounting from the financial sector, these masters of the universe who parcelled up debts then sold them as assets, these"assets"were then declared as profits leading to the ludicrous bonus and salary structure for the fat cats.

However when these debts were not paid it was very quickly clear that the value of the physical assets were way short of the paper value, the thing quickly snowballed out of control, Labour pumped in huge sums of money to keep the banking system and the economy afloat.

Then came the election, I feared any sort of Tory win because I knew just as anyone with intelligence should, that a Tory government in charge would relish attacking the public sector under the guise of economy, the reality is much was ideologically driven with many"savings" actually costing more.

Glad you accept that austerity is a busted flush, but the damage has been done, you say we have the sklls right here, yet we are seriously short of GPs, we still have shortages in all departments in our hospitals, firms looking for skilled tradesmen, engineers and technicians simply can't find them here in the UK, you say there are aprenticeships and training courses now available, just remember who cut theseself same courses in the first place, now we are playing catch up

When it comes to Brexit, I am no Europhile, but I am pretty certaih the people didn't vote to see investment cut, to see jobs vanish, to see the Brexit dividend turn into a big debt, incidentally when the UK joined the EU our economy was going down the toilet, which is why Heath was so desperate to join the club, in fairness this country has enjoyed prosperity while in the EU until recently of course, but now our economy is so intertwined with the EU, that the seperation will be painful and expensive, I only hope that we can survive and come out the other side intact.

Hamble just because I detest, despise and distrust the Tories doesn't mean I only read left wing media, however must confess the only time I would pick up the Sun would be to throw it in the rubbish bin.

My opinion has been formed over many years, I have learned that while all politicians want watching, but never ever trust a Tory.

So when have any politician's ever been trustworthy? Surely you are not claiming that Labour or Liberal are any different?

What I'm saying is when it comes to division, two faced, lies, arrogance and uncaring attitude, the Tories take first place by a long way, too many of their policies are driven deliberately by ideology rather than the needs of the country, we all know the Tories hate all aspects of the public sector, will destroy or cut whatever and wherever they can, the effects on people is of no importance.

I see, so it is far better to lie to the electorate and pretend that costly changes will definitely take place - only to suffer some form of dementia when they are elected?
Labour is no longer the party to support the working classes, and has not been for many years. Labour is supported financially by the Trades Unions. Under Thatcher's government, the unions lost much of their revenue as millions of union workers lost their jobs. The Unions then turned their interests to the Public Workers, who were paid more and unlikely to become unemployed. Labour has a conflict of interest - it will support the Public Workers at the cost of the ordinary working people. Moreover, when the UK became a member of the EU, the British Trade Unions formed an alliance with other unions of EU countries and have been enjoying a period of plenty. Another conflict of interest - the supporting group of Labour will want to keep ties with the EU, whereas the British public do not.
